SELECTING THE CORRECT BLADE SIZE can litterly make or break you…

THE RIGHT SIZE PADDLE IS THE PADDLE THAT WILL ALLOW YOU TO MAINTAIN GOOD FORM

Your appropriate stroke rate, and glide per stroke for the duration and intensity of your workout or race. The correct blade size depends on a number of factors that should be considered.  This may also result in selecting a second paddle, just as golf not one single paddle will cover every scenario.

Some Factors to consider:
1 Your body size: The big guys can normally handle the big guns.
2 Your strength to weight ratio: Dynamite comes is small packages, but so does Jelly, if you are dynamite you can handle a larger blade.
3 Your paddle performance: some paddlers can go all day, higher cadence and other paddlers quick and powerful, a lower cadence. Higher cadence smaller blade, lower cadence bigger blade.
4 The size of your paddleboard: as a general rule you might select a smaller paddle (higher cadence) when paddling a shorter SUP.
5 The length of your SUP session: Longer sessions may require using a smaller paddle blade, higher cadence.  Short sessions may require a bigger blade.
6 Injuries: having problems with joints and elbows, a smaller blade will take some pressure off?

BELOW IS A GENERAL GUIDELINE TO SELECTING THE CORRECT PADDLE…

Your final selection will depend on various factors and you might even add more than one paddle to your collection.
