FUN AND EASY TO HANDLE TOURING AND FISHING KAYAK
Our manatee designed for paddling in lakes and rivers, but this fishing or touring kayak is no stranger to the ocean and small surf either.
As a compact single sit-on-top kayak, we don’t think there is a cooler touring and fishing kayak than our 9-foot, single, sit-on-top Manatee. Like its namesake, our Manatee is also happy to cruise the waters alone or in pairs.
The 9-foot Vanhunks Manatee plays big brother to our 9-foot Whale Runner kayak and features a few extra comfort and convenience trimmings, such as the accessory tracks, and deluxe aluminum adjustable padded seat. And while Manatees themselves may seem large, heavy and slow, ours weighs in at a comfortable 50lb / 23kgs and can undoubtedly make lakes, rivers, and oceans quick and agile work.
Rest assured, you’ll have 330lb / 150kgs to carry before your Manatee fishing, and touring kayak starts to lag.
Our 5mm rotomolded Polyethylene Manatee fishing kayak is professionally designed and rigged to provide maximum stability, maneuverability, and performance on the water. The Vanhunks Manatee is known for its playfulness in small surf and gets you heading back out through the breakers quickly with its fast turns. And given its width of 32 inches, you’d feel steady as a rock while standing and fishing from our beloved Manatee.
Spending all day out on the water will not put a dampener on your comfort levels, either. Our raised deluxe aluminum seat ensures you’re not going to be getting soaked by water spray pooling beneath you. The Vanhunks Manatee fishing has a deluxe aluminum seat that has a breathable mesh fabric.
Ideal for beginner, intermediate, and advanced kayakers, your Manatee fishing kayak is the perfect choice for any leisure occasion, and the premium quality marine-grade stainless steel and captive brass inserts will ensure you have many days out on the water together.
The Vanhunks Manatee fishing kayak is UV resistant and proves impressively durable.

KAYAK CARE & STORAGE GUIDELINES
- Store your kayak in a shaded area and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent material fatigue and UV damage.
- Do not hang the kayak by the carry handles, as this may cause deformation over time.
- When storing, place the kayak on its side or on a suitable rack with even weight distribution along the hull.
- Avoid tying down or securing the kayak through the handles, as these are designed for carrying only and not load-bearing storage.
- Ensure the kayak is supported evenly to prevent warping or distortion of the hull shape during long-term storage.
- Do not overtighten straps or tie-downs, especially in hot conditions, as heat combined with pressure may alter the kayak’s structural shape.
- If storing outdoors temporarily, use a breathable cover that allows ventilation while protecting against UV exposure and rain.
- Rinse the kayak with fresh water after use in saltwater environments to extend the lifespan of fittings and hardware.
