Care & Maintenance

Rinse your Whale Runner with fresh water after each use, particularly after exposure to salt water, and allow the kayak and accessories to dry before storage.

Store the kayak in a shaded area and out of prolonged direct sunlight where possible. Support the hull evenly on its side or on a suitable kayak rack to help maintain its shape.

Do not hang the kayak from its carry handles or use the handles as tie-down points. Avoid overtightening transport or storage straps, particularly in hot conditions, as excessive pressure can distort the polyethylene hull.

Periodically inspect the hull, seat, rod holders, handles, stainless-steel hardware and fittings for signs of wear or damage. Keep all fittings clean and free from sand, salt and debris.
